Hair can be difficult. I did a picture the same size of Isabella Rossellinni 14 years ago in different grades of pencil. It took me about four days to finish it. I used the grid method, which really helped me. It turned out very proportionate.

This is not to say that your artwork is not proportionate. Make a grid frame for the actual picture to help you place sections of the hair exactly as they should be.

Cut two pieces of either mat board or poster board four inches wider and taller than the actual photo. This will give you a two inch border around the picture.

Place the picture in the center of the mat or posterboard and draw a line around it for you to cut out the center. Once that one is cut out, use it as a guide to cut the other piece.

Next take black or white thread (whichever shows up better on the photo), and divide the opening on the backside of one of the frames into eigths or sixteenths by taping down the lengths of thread. Make sure the threads are straight. Now paste/glue the other piece to the side where the thread is taped.

Now all you do is snap the picture in place and gently mark off the drawing where the hair is. Start a section at a time, and before you know it you will be done. Can someone please help me draw the hair on my lucille ball drawing for my art class project...?How do we draw for you? unless... I publish my drawing of that person on the internet. I done the drawing, I think it looks awesome! tell me how to send it to you without the internet! You should actually photocopy your artwork and try to draw the hair roughly. Then, if you succced, you may procceed to your real piece! Your drawing is fantastic really! Wanna be friends?
