I have a iPod touch 2nd gen, and I have a picture that is assigned to an artist that I want to change. You know when you look for album art work it just puts the picture on there, or doesn't even find it. Well, I have a picture that has nothing to do with the artist and I want to put their picture there. Is there a way? - from iTunes, highlight the song you want to work with. if it is a bunch of songs, you can control and/or option select the desired tracks to change them all at once. of course, this means that each selected track will have the image you set.



- once selected, right click to %26quot;Get Info%26quot;, or use the keyboard shortcut of %26quot;control + i%26quot;, or use the File menu and scroll down to %26quot;Get Info%26quot;. this will open a window with all the editable information for the track(s).



- you should see an Artwork tab, or if you have selected multiple tracks to change, you will see a window with a square field labeled artwork. to add a new image, just drag it the file there, or click once to highlight the area, and paste the copied image.

i just converted to vista and now i understand why people complain about it; there are so many little annoyances which feel like a step backwards. well, i was wondering if there's a trick to add an album photo to a folder in windows explorer when viewed with large icons?



typically in xp, u just right click -%26gt; properties -%26gt; customize-%26gt; choose file. it's that easy. for some reason, it's not working on vista



here's the weird thing. if u create a new folder without changing the folder icon, it'll work. of course, i copied all my files from an external hard drive so it'd be a pain to recreate all these album folders (which i did modify the icon pic).

Replace the album art with something you want (or even the right album cover). It won't be right on iTunes but just wait.

Close iTunes.

Find the Album Art folder.

Open it, find the folder that has the corresponding %26quot;last modified%26quot; date (probabaly %26quot;Today, 2 minutes ago.%26quot;)

Delete the super long alphabet soup name.

Reopen iTunes.

Select file, re add artwork.

So I have a 160 gig ipod classic. Most of the album art is fine, but in some cases, it uploaded the wrong file, and it won't let me change it. I figured out how to add album art to albums without art, but when the album already has art, it won't let me delete it and replace it with something else. Also, i'm not syncing, I'm manually dragging files (because I don't have a spare 160 gb on my computer). i have no idea why, but some of the songs in my itunes library that i have downloaded from limewire and transfered over r not playing. i tried to change the album art on one of them and an exclamation mark just showed up beside it and wouldn't let me change any of it's information (like rename it or w.e) and the library will just skip it and play the next song after it.

i have windows vista by the way..if that helps at all lolItunes won't play certain songs?its because iTunes can't find the songs just click and say locate or find then find the folder you put your songs in. i had the same problem but i fixed it. if you don't know what the folder is called go to limewire click explore on a song and copy the folder named at the top. (the one that looks like an address bar) and then click the songs that have a exclamation point click find and paste the folder name and find the song. after that it will start playing and the exclamation point will be gone. if all the songs are in the same folder then you don't have to keep repeating this for every song you just click it and it will play.

So, I deleted a song on my Zune because it had the wrong artist on it, changed the artist name by going to list and changing it there, then added it from there. Ok, after I had put on over 77 albums on my zune, about 50 of them didnt have the album pics on it.I know how to do it manually before you sync it (or while you rip it).But I have found only one way to add or change an album picture already on the zune...delete and readd them(newer Zune software picks it all up now).And that process takes FOREVER.

Editing the song titles will be tedious if you have a lot to do. The best way I've found is to simply right click on the file, go to properties, and edit it there. You may be able to do this in Media Monkey as well.

You're going to want to use another program to help organize your music files, whether it's Windows Media Player(Windows Media Center), or something else... Windows doesn't let you add this data to the MP3 but you can add the image with most media players that have a playlist/library function. If you don't want to use iTunes then check out the Zune Software from Microsoft (don't think it requires you to own a zune) or Winamp is another good one.
