I'm trying to get the album artwork from itunes onto the ipod. I have a 30gb final generation ipod classic. Just the text is showing. When I first got it, none of my songs had album art. It was really annoying. Unfortunately, that's the format. There's nothing you can do about it (except maybe write a letter to Apple, but that will do nothing). What I ended up doing was getting the album art for all my songs. It's a little extra work, but I think it's worth it in Cover Flow.

You're going to want to use another program to help organize your music files, whether it's Windows Media Player(Windows Media Center), or something else... Windows doesn't let you add this data to the MP3 but you can add the image with most media players that have a playlist/library function. If you don't want to use iTunes then check out the Zune Software from Microsoft (don't think it requires you to own a zune) or Winamp is another good one.
